Community Guidelines
Downwind Crew is a community of paddlers.
By using Downwind Crew, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. They help keep our paddling community safe, respectful, and welcoming.
Respect & Safety
• No harassment or bullying. Treat fellow paddlers with respect.
• No threats or hate speech. Slurs, threats, and hate-based content are prohibited.
• No sexual or obscene content. Keep all profiles, chats, and runs family-friendly.
• No spam. Don't post repetitive or irrelevant content.
• No impersonation. Don't pretend to be another paddler.
• No unsafe or illegal conduct. This includes illegal drug use, reckless behavior on the water, and any activity that endangers others.
Crew Chat
• Stay on topic. Crew chat is for coordinating the run.
• Be kind. Remember that everyone is volunteering their time and vehicles.
• Don't share private information. Don't post others' personal details.
Reporting & Moderation
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, you can:
• Report a paddler's profile, a chat message, or a run using the Report button
• Block a paddler to hide them from your crew matches and prevent direct interactions
Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Reporter identity is kept confidential.
Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans. We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these guidelines.
Secure Boating Ethics
Crew safety comes first. Navigators must adhere to nautical laws and notify the group of dangerous conditions immediately.
Help and Opinions
Input helps us grow. Our administrators assess all user suggestions and help tickets with speed and professional attention.
Flagging Issues
Launch the Downwind Crew mobile tool and enter the 'Crew Hub' tab area.
Tap the 'Flag Content' link located within the settings list.
Identify the specific rule breached and add a thorough explanation of the incident.
Send the ticket. The admin staff evaluates posts in one day and will contact you shortly.
